ASA Miami Releases 2017 Schedule for Women's Soccer

HIALEAH, FL. - First year coach David Luna leads the way for the Silver Storm in their first year competing as a member of the NJCAA. ASA will join Region VIII, which already consists of four teams; Broward College, Polk State College, Daytona State College and the reigning Region VIII champion, Eastern Florida State College. Both Eastern Florida and Daytona State were ranked in the top 20 of the 2016 NJCAA Women's Soccer Rankings during the 2016 season.

Coach Luna is very optimistic on how fast he can turn the ASA program into a competitor. "From a recruiting stand point, we offer a great opportunity to young women. We practice every day in the beautiful South Florida climate, we will play against some of the best competition at the two-year level and we will make sure you graduate." 

Key dates:

  • August 26th - Season opener on the road against Johnson & Wales University in North Miami, Florida. 
  • September 8th- The first home match of the season against conference foe Eastern Florida State College.
  • September 23rd - Tough match on the road against last years Region VIII runner-up; Daytona State
  • October 3rd - Match against Florida National University, who also begins their inaugural season in women's soccer.
